Curbside Pick Up of Online Pre-Orders, AND Limited On-site Shopping

In order to ensure the safety of our customers, vendors, and staff, the Grandin Village Farmers Market is now offering online pre-order and on-site shopping

What does this mean?

Customers can now pre-order online and shop on-site at the Grandin Village Farmers Market. Customers are encouraged to pre-order on the online marketplace to ensure you get the items you want, short wait times at market and to decrease the need to handle money and cards at market. Since our vendors’ products are being pre-sold, there will likely be less selection to buy on-site at market.

Market will now be open to pedestrian traffic only, no vehicle traffic. Please park in the spaces near Westover Ave. or in the raised parking lot and enter the front of the market. Customers will be able to shop on-site on market day from a select number of vendors (vendors are not required to offer on-site sales). Customers who are picking up pre-orders can also shop on-site.

The Grandin Farmers Market is now behind the CoLab in the large parking lot.

8am-12pm, every Saturday.

For pre-orders:

  • Park in our designated pre-order parking spots directly outside the back door of the CoLab.
  • LEAP staff will get your name, gather the items for you, and place your order in your trunk.
  • If you wish to shop on-site as well, you can enter market to gather your pre-orders as well as select and purchase additional items.

For on-site shopping:

  • All customers must wear face coverings while shopping at the market.
  • One person per household will be allowed into the market (no children) and LEAP will restrict the number of customers shopping to ensure safe distancing.
  • All customers must maintain 6 feet between one another.
  • LEAP requests that anyone who has or has come in contact with someone with a fever or other symptoms associated with COVID-19 does not come to market.

For SNAP, Medicaid, and WIC customers

  • You can purchase tokens at the market to do your shopping on-site.
  • Please continue to pay for your online pre-orders with cash/credit/debit/EBT cards, not tokens. You can spend your tokens on-site the next Saturday or at the LEAP Mobile Market.

The Grandin Village Farmers Market supports local, sustainable agriculture by connecting the public with local farmers and food producers. The Market accepts and doubles SNAP-EBT benefits up to $30 and also doubles money spent by Medicaid and WIC members up to $30.

All of our markets feature 100% locally-produced products with an emphasis on organic, sustainable, and humane producers, products, and practices. All products sold at our markets are produced within 100 miles of our market locations. We make two exceptions to this rule:  we allow regional seafood from Virginia and North Carolina waters (only if the vendor is local) and coffee beans (only if the roaster is local).

In 2020, the Grandin Village Farmers Market had over 20 great farmers, food producers, and specialty product vendors. Grandin vendors sell certified and non-certified organic veggies, fruit, herbs, seasonal seedlings, pasture raised/grass-fed chicken, beef, pork, and lamb, regional seafood,  locally roasted coffee, artisan homemade breads, baked goods, hot-prepared foods, fresh-cut flowers, and much more! Check out our list of LEAP market vendors here!
