The markets, farmers, and Harvest Bucks are the heart and soul of LEAP. One of the things that makes LEAP markets so special is our commitment to “fresh, local food for all.” Everyone should be able to put fresh food on their family's table. LEAP works hard to remove barriers to food access including time, money, skill, physical ability, and transportation.

LEAP programs address food access:

Harvest Bucks provide a $1 for $1 match for people who participate in SNAP, Medicaid or WIC and give them extra dollars to spend on fruits and vegetables. Harvest Bucks are available at Grandin Village Farmers Market, West End Farmers Market, LEAP Mobile Market, and the Community Store. This program increases nutrition security in our community by providing consistent, affordable access to fresh local food while providing additional income to local farmers and building a vibrant local food system.

LEAP Mobile Market increases nutrition security by bringing fresh food to people who often cannot otherwise get it. It supports local farmers and food businesses by providing a year-round outlet for their goods. And it brings neighbors together each week around a common desire for quality, nutritious, fresh food.

Scratch Kitchen turns excess and imperfect produce into frozen and prepared products for sale, minimizing food waste while maximizing farmers’ sales. We stretch the seasonality of local produce and create foods that are easier to handle for households with limited time and resources, making it easier for more people to eat a variety of local foods year round.

LEAP Farmers Markets are spaces where you can meet your farmer, support the local economy, find the best food our regions has to offer, and be in community. LEAP hosts the Tuesday West End Farmers Market from 3-6pm and the Saturday Grandin Village Farmers Market from 8am-12noon.

Community Store is our brick-and-mortar location co-located at the LEAP Hub in the West End neighborhood. Shop for local food on Tuesdays 3-6pm during the West End Farmers Market, or Wednesday-Friday 11am-6pm.
