On Thursday, June 1, and Saturday, June 3, LEAP dedicated our new building and hosted an Open House to allow the public a chance to tour our facility and celebrate the significance of having a food hub centered in Roanoke's West End neighborhood.

City officials, LEAP supporters and funders, farmers, food vendors, community leaders, and LEAP neighbors all shared in this special moment for our organization. Every one who stopped by, took a tour, introduced a friend to LEAP, or shared a kind word means so much to us. Thank you for coming and helping us celebrate!

As LEAP's Executive Director Maureen McNamara Best said in her remarks at The LEAP Hub Dedication, the benefits of community relationships and growing through partnerships far outweigh any short-term gains won through competition. "My time with LEAP, to me, has proven that transparent collaboration is possible, effective, messy, slow and beautiful," she said.
