LEAP began as the Grandin Village Farmers Market in 2009. At the heart of its mission from Day 1 has been a deep desire to support local farmers and food producers, connecting them with customers who value their hard work. LEAP market vendors are central to our nonprofit’s work.

How Do I Become a LEAP Market Vendor?

LEAP market vendors apply at the beginning of each market season. Vendors may apply outside of the application window and will be considered as availability allows. All LEAP market vendors must review the current vendor handbook (updated annually) and will receive new vendor training. Applications for the 2026 Main Season (starting in April) are due January 31, 2026.

LEAP manages two farmers markets, Grandin Village Farmers Market and West End Farmers Market.

Grandin Village Farmers Market operates on Saturdays behind the Roanoke Co+Op in Grandin Village at 1319 Grandin Rd, SW.

Main Season: Every Saturday, April - October, 8am-12pm
Holiday Season: Every Saturday, November - December, 9am-12pm
Winter Season: winter schedule will be announced in the fall.

West End Farmers Market operates year-round on Tuesdays from 3-6pm under the pavilion beside the LEAP Hub at 1027 Patterson Ave, SW.

Potential vendors, please note:

All items sold at LEAP Farmers Markets must be grown or produced within a 100 mile radius of LEAP.
Priority will be given to agricultural food products.
Preference will be given to products made with local ingredients.
Preference will be given to products produced closest to market locations.
Preference will be given to vendors who can commit to being at market every week.

All vendors must comply with all Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Virginia Department of Health regulations regarding selling at farmers markets. Vendors must accept LEAP Market Bucks, $5 tokens, and $1 SNAP/EBT tokens as a form of payment for approved items (will be reimbursed appropriately).
