COmmunity gardens

about

The goals for LEAP's Community Gardens are that gardeners and community members are nourished in body and mind by access to: fresh food and a safe place to be outdoors; enjoying the restoration which can come from engaging in gardening activities; friendly interactions with other gardeners; and being immersed in the natural and inclusive environment of the gardens.

How does it work?

Members of the community can rent a plot in one of LEAP’s Community Gardens and grow annual vegetables and flowers for themselves, to share with friends, or to donate.

Although each garden location is unique, each LEAP Community Garden is equipped with irrigation, hand tools, compost, and support from the community gardens manager.

These plots range in size at each of our garden locations, and the rental price is calculated according to the square footage.

Current garden members can register now. New garden members can register beginning Feb. 1. Garden plots typically sell out, so registering early is important.
