West End Farmers Market

Where: 1210 Patterson Avenue SW, Roanoke (covered pavilion behind Freedom First Credit Union branch)
When: Open every Tuesday, rain or shine, from 3-6pm year round

The West End Farmers Market supports local, sustainable agriculture by connecting the public with local farmers and food producers. The West End Market accepts and doubles SNAP-EBT benefits up to $30 and doubles purchases made by Medicaid members up to $10.

All of our markets feature 100% locally produced products with an emphasis on organic, sustainable, and humane producers, products, and practices.   All products sold at our markets are produced within 100 miles of our market locations.  We make two exceptions to this rule:  we allow regional seafood from Virginia and North Carolina waters (only if the vendor is local) and coffee (only if the roaster is local).

This year, the farmers market will look slightly different. In order to keep a variety of products stocked and continue to support local farmers, LEAP will manage a small table, carrying vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, and a few other fun items.

Some of this year’s vendors (check out our list of all market vendors to learn more) include:
Blessed N Highly Flavored
Ferguson Farm/Lick Run Urban Farm
Goose Creek Farm
LEAP fresh table
The Professor’s Garden
