LEAP is a 501c3 nonprofit centered in Roanoke, VA, committed to listening and responding
to the ever-changing needs, challenges, and opportunities of our food community.
We cannot do this work without the help of many. See below for ways to get involved at LEAP.

Volunteer

LEAP primarily uses volunteers in two ways: in our community gardens and in our light processing kitchen work. If you enjoy being outside and want to beautify our community, join LEAP Community Gardens Manager during the regular volunteer days she leads during the growing season. This is a great opportunity for kids to get involved! Light processing happens in the LEAP Kitchen one day a week, during business hours. VOLUNTEER

Become an Intern

LEAP has shifted its internship program to be year round and flexible. Depending on the interests of interns and the needs of our nonprofit during any given season, we will craft a schedule that works for all. These are unpaid internships. Interns need to be available for 6-12 hours per week and preferably for at least three months. (Don’t have that much time to commit? Sign up as a volunteer!) Find more information here.
