Welcome, Spring!

With the start of April, comes the most wonderful time of the year: market season. Find two dozen vendors selling crisp lettuce, sweet spinach, tender sprouts, early summer squash -- and soon, beloved heirloom tomatoes and sweet corn. The market pops up in the parking lot behind the Roanoke Co+op. This year's offerings will wow you: artisanal mushrooms, craft bakers, local kombucha, goat's cheese. Plus locally made pottery, candles, soaps, and more. Each week is a new experience, with local music, flex vendors, food trucks and monthly events.  Head to our Facebook or Instagram pages to find a list of market vendors and other details, every Friday.

What will you find
at market?

Grandin Village Farmers Market vendors sell certified and noncertified organic veggies, fruits, and herbs; pasture raised/grass-fed chicken, eggs, and hand-crafted cheeses; locally raised beef and pork; artisan homemade breads, baked goods, hot-prepared foods, locally roasted coffee, fermented foods, and more.

This market was the spark that created LEAP and it remains a welcoming place, where community, sustainability, and deliciousness intersect week after week, year after year.

LOCAL food for all

Grandin Village Farmers Market doubles the value of purchases made by recipients of SNAP, Medicaid, and WIC. Shoppers let the market manager know they’d like to participate in LEAP's match programs. For every dollar spent (EBT, cash, or credit), customers receive a dollar in free fruits and vegetables. If shoppers spend $10, they receive $10 in black tokens (good for any SNAP-eligible item), and $10 in red tokens (good for produce and plants only), for a total of $20.
